Groups

Name changes are permitted free of charge before ticketing.

After ticketing, the charge can be up to $70 for name correction requiring reissue.

Tickets are non-transferrable.  Longhaul and midhaul tickets can be refunded, less $150.00 cancel penalty, and a new ticket issued under a new passenger name.

If the group reduces to less than 10 passengers, the fare will revert to the lowest applicable published rate, however, BD has the right to cancel the booking and all deposits would be lost.  Shorthaul is non-refundable except for taxes.

Ticketing

Tickets must be issued against a tour code allocated by the groups department. Passive bookings should be used for paper ticket routes only.

Amadeus users can have the bmi record released to their pseudo-city code.

Sabre, Worldspan, Shares users can claim bmi created records.

Apollo, Galileo users must create passive bookings showing the bmi record locater at the end of the longsell line as justification.

These are guidelines only and where possible we will be flexible according to the client’s requirements.

E-tickets

Beginning October 3, 2005, bmi began introducing e-ticket for groups, see below the guidelines to assist with this new procedure:

You can only issue an e-ticket on itineraries where there is no other carrier in the PNR except bmi.  Interline e-ticketing is available for group bookings.  If there are other carriers in the PNR a ticket must be issued for no more than 9 at a time.

As agents you must "claim" your PNR in order to issue e-tickets (passive bookings will not work). If you are unable to claim your booking please contact the bmi group sales dept for assistance at 1-866-387-9336 or email groupsales.flybmi@us-sales.com.

You must enter the e-ticket numbers into the booking as an SSR TKNE element (an SSR remark) so that they can be viewed at check-in.  If they are entered as an OSI remark, the airports will not be able to see the ticket numbers.

If an infant is traveling they must be linked to an adult in the booking who has a FOID.
