Travel documents required
Passport and visa
It is important that your clients ensure they have the correct travel documents for their journey. It is always important to advise they check that their passport is up to date and any necessary visas obtained, in advance of travel.
Passports are required for all international flights and should be valid for at least 3 months beyond the length of stay. EU and EEA nationals (EU + Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) and Swiss nationals are permitted to enter any EU/EEA member state on production of a valid national passport or national identity card.
A passport is not required for travel between Great Britain and Ireland, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands. Passengers transiting the UK destined for the Republic of Ireland must carry a form of photographic ID (please see acceptableforms of photographic ID below).
Traveling with children
All children must have their own, individual passport for travel abroad. This applies to all children from new-born babies until the age of 15.
Once children turn 16, they are eligible for the standard 10-year passport.
